Parish Pilgrimage 2026: Sunday May 31st

Join us for a day of walking, worship, fellowship, and prayer as we journey together across the churches of the Stroud Team Ministry.

The pilgrimage begins at 8.30am at Holy Trinity, Stroud. We then walk to St Laurence Church for a said Holy Communion at 9.00am, followed by a light breakfast before continuing the journey.

The morning walk will take us through the churches of the Stroud Team, ending with a picnic lunch at Whiteshill at approximately 1.15pm (please bring your own picnic). Approximate timings and route details can be found below.

At 2.00pm, those with the energy for the afternoon section are warmly invited to continue on a led walk across the valley to Holy Trinity, Slad. We are delighted that the walk will be guided by Guy Hayward, Director and Co-Founder of the British Pilgrimage Trust.

We expect to arrive at Holy Trinity, Slad at around 3.30pm for Choral Evensong at 4.00pm, followed by a reception at The Woolpack beginning at 5.00pm.

Whether you join us for part of the day or the whole pilgrimage, all are very welcome.

Communion during this time

In these unprecedented times, we are working hard to find imaginative solutions in a landscape that has been rapidly changing. Sometimes we get things right, and sometimes we miss the mark. I apologise that this has been the case regarding communion.

For those of you who have received wafers in a parcel, we would ask that you either consume them, or put them somewhere safe to bring back once we are able to be together again.

We are going to be sending out a new order of service for use during this time as either a simple service of the word or, on occasion, to help us to share an Agape meal together.
