Global Week of Prayer — 6–13 September
On Saturday 5 September at 10am, we will begin the Global Week of Prayer 2026 (details here) with a special service at Holy Trinity Church, next to Stroud Hospital This will be a time to gather together, to pray, and to equip ourselves for the week ahead.
The Global Week of Prayer runs from 6–13 September and is a national movement from 24-7 Prayer, bringing Christians together to make space for prayer, wherever we are and however we can.
Throughout the week, you can engage in prayer at home, with friends and others, or simply by spending some time in one of our church buildings. Our sacred spaces will be open for prayer during the week, and every week, in Slad, Randwick, Whiteshill and Cainscross and every Saturday morning in St Laurence in the town centre— places to be still, to pray and to bring before God the things that matter to us, our communities and our world.
We will draw the week to a close with an evening service of Compline at Holy Trinity on Saturday 12 at 7pm Together we will prepare our hearts while also laying before God the prayers we have prayed throughout the week.
We hope you will join us and find your own way to engage with this special week of prayer. Whether for five minutes or an hour, alone or with others, in church or at home — every prayer matters.
Come and pray. Come and be still. Come and see what God might do.
