Christmas Tree Festival 2024

Christmas Tree Festival 24

After a fantastic Christmas Tree Festival in 2023 where we had 7,000 visitors over 10 days, we are
delighted to invite you to join in with the Christmas Tree Festival in Stroud for 2024! We already
have 85 trees booked at the beginning of October! The Festival runs from Friday November 29 th to
finishing with the Town Carol Service on Sunday 8 th December at St Laurence Church, Stroud.
This year’s theme for the Festival is ‘One World’. The festival is a great opportunity for all to raise the
profile of the wonderful organisations and businesses that we have around Stroud and to see how
imaginative and creative all the different groups are.

We can only hold the Christmas Tree Festival with the help of volunteers to be present in the church.
Would you be able to volunteer some time during the festival to be present in the church, direct
visitors and offer tea and coffee? If so do contact us on:

[email protected]

On Thursday 28 th November 2023 we will be holding a Networking Event to open the Festival, for the
exhibitors and volunteers to have a sneak peek at the trees before we open to the public, and an
opportunity to share stories of your work. There will be other exciting events happening throughout
the Festival too, with Goodwill Evening on 6 th December and three hours of live music every day.
The church is already a central hub for Stroud and this festival raises funds to keep the church going
with essential repairs and to plan for an exciting, transformed future (oh, and a new roof!).
If you want to book a tree (and are not already on our mailing list) please complete this form by 31 st
October and you will get a booking acknowledgement:-

Communion during this time

In these unprecedented times, we are working hard to find imaginative solutions in a landscape that has been rapidly changing. Sometimes we get things right, and sometimes we miss the mark. I apologise that this has been the case regarding communion.

For those of you who have received wafers in a parcel, we would ask that you either consume them, or put them somewhere safe to bring back once we are able to be together again.

We are going to be sending out a new order of service for use during this time as either a simple service of the word or, on occasion, to help us to share an Agape meal together.
