We have an exciting opportunity to lead a new Toddler group to replace the ever-popular parent and toddler group formerly known as Tiddlywinks. This is a church-run group, located in our brilliant town centre venue, St Laurence Church Hall (The Shambles).

Tiddlywinks has been running successfully here for 16 years, and is known and loved by families across the 5 Valleys. It has been run by kind-hearted, caring people, passionate about giving back to their community, supporting families to spend time together affordably, building connections between parents/carers and combating loneliness. Not to mention providing delicious cakes! And we are delighted that most of our wonderful volunteers are staying on to support this new role.

We are looking for someone as passionate about working with children as we are: supporting children (especially babies & pre-school age) and their parents/carers to build relationships with others, and to thrive in our community. You will be able to lead a small team of volunteers, organising rotas & refreshments, meeting & greeting families, and providing support through chatting to people, or praying with them if they wish. You will be able to plan a craft / story / song for each week’s session…but we will really leave the creativity up to you!

If this sounds up your street, or if you would like to know more, please get in touch with Pearl for a chat on 07794 044948; applications should be made by CV with a short cover letter, to [email protected]

Communion during this time

In these unprecedented times, we are working hard to find imaginative solutions in a landscape that has been rapidly changing. Sometimes we get things right, and sometimes we miss the mark. I apologise that this has been the case regarding communion.

For those of you who have received wafers in a parcel, we would ask that you either consume them, or put them somewhere safe to bring back once we are able to be together again.

We are going to be sending out a new order of service for use during this time as either a simple service of the word or, on occasion, to help us to share an Agape meal together.
