Caretaker at St Laurence: Stroud Centre for Peace and the Arts (part time)

We are excited to announce that we are looking for a new Caretaker, to look after our facilities at St Laurence Church and Shambles Hall, as well as our emerging Green Space – helping to create welcoming, well-run spaces for a wide range of activities: from weekly classes and support groups to concerts, festivals, markets, and community events.

This is a varied, hands-on role with plenty of opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of our town.

The Caretaker is a vital member of the team, supporting the upkeep and effective running of St Laurence Church and Shambles Hall. Working alongside volunteers and paid staff, the Caretaker plays a hands-on role in bookings support, maintenance, and day-to-day care of both buildings.

Please follow the link HERE for full job description and how to apply (role subject to references, enhanced DBS & safeguarding training)

Communion during this time

In these unprecedented times, we are working hard to find imaginative solutions in a landscape that has been rapidly changing. Sometimes we get things right, and sometimes we miss the mark. I apologise that this has been the case regarding communion.

For those of you who have received wafers in a parcel, we would ask that you either consume them, or put them somewhere safe to bring back once we are able to be together again.

We are going to be sending out a new order of service for use during this time as either a simple service of the word or, on occasion, to help us to share an Agape meal together.
