Picnic at St Paul’s Church, Whiteshill
Saturday 22nd July 2:30-4:30
Saturday 22nd July is going to be a BIG day for the Parish Church in Whiteshill. This family event is an opportunity to show our appreciation for the church which has not had it easy for a while.
Just as the new guttering went up on the north side and the metal fencing was removed, the recent storm caused water damage inside the building. St Paul’s definitely needs our support and a big hug.
So come along with your picnic and enjoy the various activities planned for the afternoon which include:
Face Painting
Sun Printing (UV printing on light-sensitive paper)
Quiz Trail for all the family
Younger Children’s Activity Table plus a chance to be creative with cupcakes.
There will be a photographic exhibition in the church of village photographs dating from the early 1900’s and Annie Blick, a talented local photographer is exhibiting her pictures of St Paul’s including some taken by drone.
There will also be paintings by children from Whiteshill School displayed in the church, together with a colourful string of flags drawn by the younger children from Playgroup. For musical entertainment, both village choirs will be singing and musicians will be playing throughout the afternoon.
The highlight of the event will be at 3.00pm when the church bell will sound and everyone will be asked to make a circle around the church. We will need a lot of people to complete the ring but it would be fantastic if we could achieve that.
