Investing in relationships at your Stroud Parish Churches

Marriage preparation afternoon

We had a wonderful time together with all the couples who are preparing for marriage this year across our team last Sunday. As well as some input from some of the Marriage Team, the couples had lots of time to look at different areas of life together, learn some more about each other, and were also treated to an utterly beautiful afternoon tea by Claire, Sue and Pat. Thank you to all the Team, and to our couples who engaged so brilliantly, making it a thoroughly worthwhile afternoon. The feedback from the couples was that it had exceeded their expectations, which is what we aim to do!

Please do pray for Simon and Sophie, Ben and Melissa, Charlotte and Joe, Maisy and Ian and Kate and Barry as they prepare for this wonderful step in their relationships.

If you are interested in being part of this ministry, do speak to one of the clergy, or contact Jodie. We’d be delighted to talk about it with you.

Communion during this time

In these unprecedented times, we are working hard to find imaginative solutions in a landscape that has been rapidly changing. Sometimes we get things right, and sometimes we miss the mark. I apologise that this has been the case regarding communion.

For those of you who have received wafers in a parcel, we would ask that you either consume them, or put them somewhere safe to bring back once we are able to be together again.

We are going to be sending out a new order of service for use during this time as either a simple service of the word or, on occasion, to help us to share an Agape meal together.
