Stroud Christmas Tree Festival 2022

After a fantastic Christmas Tree Festival in 2021, we are delighted to invite you to join in with the Christmas Tree Festival in Stroud for 2022! We would love it if you would like to take part and exhibit a tree – We are aiming for 100 this year! The Festival runs from 2nd December to 11th December 2022 at St Laurence Church, Stroud.

This years theme for the Festival is “Sustainability”. The festival is a great opportunity for you to promote your organisation or business (over 6000 people visited the festival in 2021!) with a tree decorated in any way you choose, and a way you can promote how you are tackling climate change in what you do. Please be as creative as you like! You do not have to decorate the tree to fit the theme, but we would like you to consider doing so if you wish!

We also respectfully ask for any lights on trees to be LED only and set on silent/static.

To apply to exhibit a tree and for more information please email the information in the application form here to [email protected]

There is no charge to exhibit a tree! Spaces are limited so please apply soon! The deadline for applications is 7th November 2022. Any queries please contact [email protected]

We can only hold the Christmas Tree Festival with the help of volunteers to be present in the church. Although it is not a condition of displaying a tree, it would be very much appreciated if you would be able to volunteer some time during the festival to be present in the church, direct visitors and sell programmes. More details on the application form and website.

On Thursday 1st December 2022 we will be holding a Networking Event to open the Festival, fpr the exhibitors and volunteers to have a sneak peek at the trees before we open to the public, and an opportunity for you to network. There will be other exciting events happening throughout the Festival too, with Goodwill Evening on 2nd December and other evening events. More details to follow.

The church is also looking to become a real central hub for the town and this festival is raising funds to keep the church going with essential repairs and to plan for an exciting, transformed future (oh, and a new roof!).

All plans will be adhering to any Covid 19 restrictions in place at the time, and subject to change.

We look forward to hearing from you! Jenny & Camilla Stroud Christmas Tree Festival

Communion during this time

In these unprecedented times, we are working hard to find imaginative solutions in a landscape that has been rapidly changing. Sometimes we get things right, and sometimes we miss the mark. I apologise that this has been the case regarding communion.

For those of you who have received wafers in a parcel, we would ask that you either consume them, or put them somewhere safe to bring back once we are able to be together again.

We are going to be sending out a new order of service for use during this time as either a simple service of the word or, on occasion, to help us to share an Agape meal together.
