24-7 Prayer April 2021

We have arrived in Holy Week and our 24/7 prayer. We are excited about what God will be saying to us – please do add to our virtual prayer board any reflections – we want to be able to reflect on all that we hear throughout this week.

We are pray for God’s healing for all that has been, and for God to ignite fresh hope in us for all that will be.

You will find resources to help you pray here, with a reflection from different Christian leaders across the town each day.

On the sign-up table, there is prayer in buildings, online, in peoples homes, as people walk, and in our virtual prayer room, also on this page.

We pray that you would know God’s presence, love, healing and hope. Be still and know that God is God.

Sign up to take part

We are gathering ideas and resources to inspire you here and we will keep adding to this. Do sign up, commit to pray and be expectant that we will see, and hear and sense God on the move in this place.

Below is a calendar view showing who has signed-up to pray so far. It is a static view, so you can’t click in to choose a slot.

Instead, identify a slot, or some slots, and click the button above to sign-up. The calendar will be updated with your chosen slots filled in within a day or so.

Our Virtual Prayer room is a shared video conferencing space.

Be aware that there may be someone else, or many people, in this prayer room when you enter. Or you might be the only person.

When you click to enter this will open in a new browser window.

You will be asked to enter your name.

You will be asked to give permissions to use your microphone and camera on your computer. It does not matter if you do not have a camera.

Then you will enter the room.

What happens when you click this button?

On a desktop computer

In order for this to work you will need a computer with at least a microphone and speakers. You do not have to have camera, but obviously it helps.

A new window opens and you are taken to one of our video conference rooms using Google Meet

You may need to grant permission to use your camera and microphone.

We will get a notification that someone wants to join the call and we’ll let you in.

On an iPhone or Android

Download the app Google Meet first. Open the app and give it the permissions it needs to access your camera and microphone.

Then come back and click the Ding Dong! button on this page.

Communion during this time

In these unprecedented times, we are working hard to find imaginative solutions in a landscape that has been rapidly changing. Sometimes we get things right, and sometimes we miss the mark. I apologise that this has been the case regarding communion.

For those of you who have received wafers in a parcel, we would ask that you either consume them, or put them somewhere safe to bring back once we are able to be together again.

We are going to be sending out a new order of service for use during this time as either a simple service of the word or, on occasion, to help us to share an Agape meal together.
